AAUW Marin (CA) Branch

2024 – 2025 Programs

July 14 (Sunday, 11:30-2:00), Summer Fling. Location: Chris O’Neill’s home. Cost: $10.

September 14 (Saturday morning) Meet our Tech Trek and TTAG Girls and the COM MESA Awardees . Meet and hear directly from these women and girls about their experiences in the STEM world. Location: Marin Bocce Rose Garden. Cost: $5 donation requested.

October 5 (Saturday 10:00 – Noon) Speaker: Dotty LeMieux, local attorney, on women’s issues, policies, campaign law, etc. Location:  Corte Madera Town Center Community Room.

November 23 (Saturday, 10:00 – Noon ) Book Talk by Elaine Petrocelli, Book Passage Owner and Member of the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame.  Learn what to read next with a focus on equity issues. Location: Book Passage. Cost: $5 donation requested when you sign in that day.

December 7 (Saturday, 11:30 am-1:30 pm) Holiday Luncheon and Silent Auction. Location: The Club at McInnis Park. Cost: TBD.

January 29, 2025 (Wednesday, Noon – 2:pm) Intergenerational/Intercultural Learning. Co-sponsored with College of Marin. Speakers: Stormy Miller, EdD, Director of Student Service,s and Angela Olmanson, Health Sciences Program Administrator. Location: College of Marin.

February 22 (Saturday, 10:00 – Noon) Tri-Branch Meeting. Speaker is Damon Connolly, Assembly Member CA District 12. Location: The Key Room at Homeward Bound. Cost: TBD.

March 15 (10:00-noon) Issues affecting the transgender, LGBTQ+ and other under-represented communities. Speaker: Suzanne Ford, president of SF Pride. Location: Corte Madera Town Center Community Room.

April 12 (Saturday 2:00 – 4:00 pm) Women in History and Literature. Speaker: Jazmin Darznik, JD, PhD, MFA, local author. Location: The Key Room at Homeward Bound

May 10 (Saturday, 10:00 – 1:00) Annual Branch Meeting and Brunch. Location: McInnis Park. Cost: TBD

Watch for the emailed invitation to each event monthly as the particulars might change, and please RSVP in advance so we know how many to expect and can plan accordingly!

When there is a charge, payment in advance is expected online via PayPal (with small additional charge), or by check to Sue Torres, 256 Marinda Dr., Fairfax CA 94930. However, the requested donation for the November meeting can be made at the door.

Vaccinated and boosted members only at in-person events please. Masks optional unless Public Health requirements change.
